JC 4 AL
The DELANO JC series are retrofit pickups for standard Jazz Bass™ type instruments and can be installed in any kind of bass with similar pickup routings. All JC series four and five string pickups use standard fourstring size shells (covers). Special five string JCs will fit into Fender USA™ five string Jazz Basses™ made after the mid nineties. They are available only upon request. Please inquire.
The JC4 AL (alnico single coil) is our well revised version of the classic JB pickup™. We examined the best vintage basses from 1960 to 1977 to create a harmonious blend between the woody low mid growl and warm articulate midrange early sixties pickups are famous for with the funky ‘twang’ of some better seventies examples, then we added a slight embellishment to the deep bass and bright harmonics range. The result is a well balanced single coil pickup that delivers everything from the best old school R&B tones to funky spank on steroids. JC4 AL pickups are available in matched pairs or as single units.

JC 4 HE/M2
A high end splitcoil humbucking JB™ fourstring pickup with the narrow sensing area of a classic single coil, the JC4 HE/M2 gives you a full range single coil tone with none of the headaches of previous designs.
Our advanced coil design employs carbon steel blades, special ferrite magnets and full shielding. Its full bass and tight lowmids blend fine with very articulate midrange into sparkling harmonic overtones. Just the right amount of output works great in full passive operation and interacts meticiously with today´s internal or external preamps and/or EQs. JC4 HE/M2 pickups are available in matched pairs ore as individual units.

JMVC 4 FE/M2
These split coil humbuckers are the result of consequent research and modern winding technology.
The gorgeous visual impact of their 9,5mm pole pieces is clearly audible: Ultra fast transient attack, powerful low-end response, detailed midrange and brilliant highend for direct in-your-face, take no prisoners bass tone. Even the very bottom range of droptuned basses will stay tight, focused and alive. JMVCs can handle massive tone tweaking and interact superbly with active circuits and effects. They are available in matched pairs or individually.

DELANO PC 4 AL
The DELANO PC series offers a range of different transducer designs in the familiar Precison Bass™ pickup shape.They are direct retrofit units and can be installed in any electric bass that is outfitted with a P-bass™ style pickup cavity.
Since its invention in 1957, the splitcoil P-Bass™ pickup is the proven industry standard of electric bass transducers. Its basic design was not substantially altered visually since, but tone-wise, the changes are definitly audible. The alnico PC4 AL is our tribute to lovers of classy vintage P-bass™ tone. We carefully morphed the great "oomph" and greasy swamp bottom late 50ies to early 60ies pickups are famous four with the grinding wire attitude of ´68 to´73 examples and then added a slight DELANO twist to enhance dynamics and articulation. From groove to grind, old school to nu, the PC4 AL delivers with authority.

DELANO PMVC 4 FE/M2
How to improve a classic pickup design: Delano takes the classic P-Bass™ pickup design a major step forward. The big ferrous poles grab all the strings movements with zero loss. Specially engineered ferrite magnets and custom wound coils make up for a bass transducer ready to redefine the word PRECISION.
Just imagine meaty P-Bass™ tone with in-your-face Stingray™ style grind and attack, then you got at least the frame of the picture. Due to its tight broad frequency range, this is a GREAT pickup for nu-school funk and rock players, it loves droptuned basses and massive tone tweaking.

DELANO PC4 HE/M2
The DELANO PC4 HE/M2 is an extended range high-end version of this classic bass pickup.
Massive carbon steel blades transmit a strong magnetic field to the perfectly matched coils, permitting a fuller and tighter bass response and a lively directness throughout the entire spectrum. Sparkling brightness on top of just the right amount of velvety midrange make up for a great allround tone that will always sound fresh. Excellent choice for one-pickup instruments but works equally well with bridge pickups and active electronics like our DELANO 2 and 3-band circuits.

MC 4 AL
DELANO MC series humbucking pickups are fashioned in the popular MM Stingray™ double coil pickup shape They feature a very wide string sensing area and come in many special versions to offer the widest possible range of tonal colors for todays demanding bass players.
Two rows of strong 9,5 mm diameter alnico 5 magnets and two custom coils produce a fat and grinding bass humbucking tone that also sounds great in single coil or parallel modes. Very warm bass and low mid response, accentuated mids and bright percussive top end make the MC4 AL a great choice for one pickup instruments where versatility is the key factor. Its full range moderate output design interacts great with onboard active electronic circuits and it still has enough punch and clarity when used in full passive operation.

MC 4 FE
The DELANO MC4 FE fourstring humbucker uses strong ceramic magnets and eight 9,5 mm diameter plated ferruos polepieces. Compared directly to our alnico version, you will find punchier bass, more linear dynamic response throughout the entire frequency range characterized by in-your-face ultra fast transients that make ghost notes really jump out and a brightly sparkling top end that never sounds artificial.
Low tuned instruments won´t mud up and will maintain a strong and tight bottom end making the MC 4 FE an excellent allround bass pickup for players that cover anything from trad to modern to grinding nu school styles.

MC 4 HE/S
The DELANO MC4 HE/S is our highend MM style™ dual coil humbucking pickup. Its custom coils are precision hand wound around two sturdy silicon steel blades on top of our specially engineered double magnet array, all hidden by a closed structured black resin pickup cover.
The entire unit is fully shielded and specially treated to prevent hum, microphonics and RF interference even in most demanding applications. The sound is fat, bright and clean, with lots of bass and lowmid muscle and sparkling highend sheen. Switching to parallel produces a very open and bright tonality, great for clean funk, chords and tapping.

DJC4 HE - 4 String Twin Jazz Pickup - Twin Coil Jazz
The DJC 4 HE is a twin JB™ quad coil, double humcancelling fivestring pickup capable of covering a multitude of sounds all by different wiring options.
Basically, it is two JC4 HE pickups side by side. Sweet JB™ tones, classic rock and fat R&B, clean but mean grand piano style wire, to rootsy dub and reggae are only few of the sounds a pair of DJC4 HE pickups will put under your command. Also great with JC4 HE in neck position. Tight and focused E strings fantastic string-to-string balance and response. Recommended for passive, active and hybrid installations.

MC 4 HY - The Hybrid
An uncompromising pickup series that combines in one single construction the two most legendary sounds in bass history!
Part 1: J-Bass™ – Single coil bridge pickup with the immortal characteristics of early 60’s pickups. AlNiCo 5 magnets, classic fiber bobbin and gauge 42 wire.
Part 2: Sting Ray™ Humbucker – Low resistance neck coil with 9.5 millimeter AlNiCo 5 magnets. Authentic sound guaranteed in this setting too, thanks to the special engineered bridge J-coil: the second MM™-coil is inte-grated inside. Switching concept: The integrated switch management lets you get both of these great classic sounds at the touch of a toggle, each one reconstructed exactly in its original form with all its strengths and nuances of character.

The integrated switch manager lets you get both of these great classic sounds at the touch of a toggle, each one reconstructed exactly in its original form with all its strengths and nuances of character: Passive function in single-coil mode, active function with the DELANO SONAR 2- or 3-band EQ activated in Humbucker mode. The internal switching of the pickup is lightning fast, too! For maximum sound authenticity we recommend the custom neck version of our J™-single coil JC4AL/H or JC5AL/H for the neck position. With both pickups switched on, this JJ-arrangement typically produces a noise-free output.
No trouble with treble:
The ’Hybrid’ set includes a specially designed treble pot that works as a typical passive tone control for the J™-sounds in the passive mode and doubles as the active treble EQ in the Sting Ray™ setting. The neutral setting is located conveniently in the middle position; when switching, it’s easy to get the basic settings you need.
Additional features:
In the humbucking mode – we call it ’Ray’ mode – you’re able to combine the hybrid pickup with the neck pickup, too. This is an additional feature. But take note, that use of the neckside single coil pickup typically causes hum, if driven with the active electronis. To achive an authentic ’Ray’ sound, you should turn the balance knob fully backwards – and so your bass is hum-free.

The DELANO SBC4 HE/S was developed to overcome many of the obstacles normally associated with most of the proven dual coil bass humbucking designs. We killed the nasal muddiness, broadened the spectrum and enhanced even order harmonics. How we did it? We simply listened. Because we love to listen. To the music, the players, into the hearts of the instruments. Listen to catch every subtle detail. Hear what is there. Understand what is missing. Think we found it. It is the air. So we put it inside. Finally there is a bass pickup that perfectly blends the fullbodied warmth of a humbucker and the airy openness of the best vintage single coils with crystal clear top end definition into pure luxurious bass tone.
