Alloy 52® is run through our computer controlled precision rollers in the winding process to create a semi-flat string with great articulation, a mellow tone with less finger noise.

Between regular rounds and flats

I don't really like the dull thud of flats, but sometimes rounds really are just too bright. Pressurewounds provide what I think of as the perfect midpoint between the two: more lively than flats, but not as in your face as regular rounds. I personally wouldn't put them on a StingRay—really on any bass with standard humbuckers where you want that really aggressive top end—but they're just what I want on Ps and Js. A little more expensive than regular rounds, but in my book they're definitely worth it.
