The NFP is a filter preamp alike the ones seen on basses like the Alembic or Wal. Being a low pass filter, it lets all bass frequencies pass through up to 4Khz where it starts cutting. The cutoff point has a resonant peak that can be boosted by pulling-up on the potentiometer. The potentiometer also allows you to sweep the cutoff point(resonant peak) within a range range of 170Hz to 4 khz.

The Double NFP has one filter per pickup ,offering more tone shaping options, that are actively mixed through the pan/blend potentiometer and into a Master volume potentiometer.

This is the Multicoil version of the NFP preamp. It works exactly like the NFP preamp but it was specifically designed to use with multicoil pickups that offer a "1 humbucker per string" coil wiring. This version is the way to go to simulate what Wal does with their MK series basses. This is to use with two pickups instruments, it has 2x filter boards, 1x active Pan/Blend board with 1x Master volume. Each pickup has its own Lowpassfilter preamp with a resonant peak. The Filter potentiometers are push-pull to boost the resonant peak.
