The 8CBP is the Fender Precision Bass® (P Bass® ) replacement pickup. They are highly respected by musicians and luthiers alike for their classic tone with more lows and low-mids.The two pickups in the P-Bass pair overlap each other by 3/4" (19mm).The "Classic Bass" series bass pickups are passive designs featuring an extended and more resonant frequency range. They have far more "air" and definition at the top without sacrificing lows and low mids. They are cast in epoxy to remove unwanted feedback and microphonics.

Please check the physical size of the pickups you want to replace to make sure the replacements fit properly.

Great sounding pickups!
By Michael Christenson
If you play a P bass BUY THESE! First time Bartolini buyer. I installed these in a new 2012 Squier Matt Freeman sig P bass. They fit perfect as replacement pickups with no adjustments needed. They installation instructions are lacking, have NO purpose for installing these pickups. I just installed/soldered like the olds pickups wereeen though there's an extra wire on these. As for tone...WOWZERS!!!!!!! Holy Moly do they sound awesome! The factory Squier P pickups were so sterile sounding, no much oomph or punchy mids and the highs were too tinny sounding. The Bartolini P pickups add a BIG FULL bottom, PUNCHY low mids, BARKY high mids and softens the brittle highs to more piano like. I'm very very pleased that these Barts are everything that I was looking for and more. NOW, this Squier sounds on par if not better than a Fender American Standard P bass. Plus I really like the clean smooth look instead of having the magnet poles exposed like the old factory pickups.

Bart BCBP Pickup

I put this pickup into my Fender 70's reissue Precision bass and it made a huge difference. The bass now has a warmer, fuller tone with lots of output. With flats it sounds awesome. Very smooth and open. These are great pickups and I'd buy them again!

Very pleasant
By Jens Gunni Busck
I put it in an old Ibanez Roadstar II, and they work really well. I think it's a great P-PU for lighter instruments (mine is basswood), since it has a lot of range and has a lot of mids and highs to offer. It's a little more polite than I had expected (which I like), but some rock bassists will probably prefer a more bottom-focused, aggressive PU.

Bartolinis in my P-Bass
By Matt Hurich
Hey guys, the new Bartolinis sound awesome!!!... as I figured they would. the natural warmth and wealth of tone spectrum seems effortless for these in a passive setup... I can only imagine the versatility of the active set-up.
Thanks for everything...!
