DESCRIPTION

SCPB-2 '51 Tele® Bass

Hot single-coil. A high-output take on the Vintage. In this case, we increase the coil windings for higher output, more punch, and a thicker bottom-end than the Vintage

Dimensions: Length = 2.88"(73.1mm) Width = 0.768"(19.5mm)

SJB-2 Jazz Bass

This pickup delivers more output and punch than the Vintage. You get a deeper low-end response than stock pickups. Fat and warm with plenty of output. Single Coil.

  • Neck Pickup: Length = 3.625"(92mm) Width = 0.741"(19mm)
  • Bridge Pickup: Length = 3.73"(95mm) Width = 0.741"(19mm)

STK-J2 Jazz Bass Stack

A stack pickup with lots of output. Twenty percent more coil winding for punchy bass work without the single coil noise. Like the Vintage model, we calibrate the neck and bridge models differently to compensate for both string spacing and string excursion in each position.

Warm, clean and quiet medium output sound. Two stacked coils for humcancelling.

  • Neck Pickup: Length = 3.625"(92mm) Width = 0.741"(18.8mm)
  • Bridge Pickup: Length = 3.730"(95mm) Width = 0.741"(18.8mm)

SPB-2 Split-coil P

Just like the Vintage, but with extra windings on the coils for musicians who want more output and greater low end response for a fuller sound. Warm, ultra fat and punchy.

Dimensions: Length = 2.20"(56mm) Width = 1.08"(28mm)

SPB-4 Steve Harris Signature P

Uses Alnico 5 rod magnets and a unique vintage-hot coil wind that delivers a forceful sound with pushed midrange but tight bass and treble response. Measuring in at 13k DC resistance, the SPB-4 is more dynamic and sensitive to Steve's unique two finger playing style and drives the preamp section of an amplifier hard without clipping.

Can be used alone in standard Precision bass setup or paired with an STK-J2b Hot Stack for Jazz for noise-free and unrelenting tone. Or, try an SJB-3b Quarter Pound for Jazz in the bridge for the ultimate bass assault.

Dimensions: Length = 2.20"(56mm) Width = 1.08"(28mm)

Please Note:Seymour Duncan supplies chrome screws with their pickups. If you require black or gold screws, we carry them on our pickup screws page.

Bought my first Precision Bass, a used USA, and the pickup kept cutting out. After reading reviews of various pickups, I chose the SPB-2 as a replacement. I don't know what a stock P-Bass is supposed to sound like, but mine sounds great with the SPB-2. Quick service from bestbassgear.com, AND free shipping! Happy customer.

I love this pick up because its not just bass, nor just midrange, I'd say It's right in the middle of the spectrum in re guard to the spb1 and the quarter pound, my idea about a pick up or approach is to be in the middle this way I can go darker if I want or go brighter, without being limited to one or the other, listen to the instrument it will tell you where to go to achieve what your looking for.
