Stand By Your Amp!
By Justin Branby
If you can spend the money, or maybe, someone you know or are related to can spend the money, put this one at the top of the list. Every tone I have heard of someone playing Aguilar, sounds right. A Pro amp among Pro amps. Sweet warm MOSFET's but again, probably not the full boutique tube warmth. Reliable, never heard of anyone having them break down, on tour or in the studio, so get for a lifetime of really warm High Res type saturation in the mid's and highs. A Not a bottom dweller tone thump, but great for a bassist that can solo in the tune, and likes to be heard above the mud of the venue. Nice I/O on the back, great amounts of power, and a wealth of tone selection and EQ. Studio ready, and a badass transformer for nice headroom and guts. Thanks.
