DESCRIPTION

Controls: Volume Push/Pull Active Passive - Blend - Treble - Bass - Mid

The Glockenklang 3-band onboard preamp is active/passive switchable (at the Volume via a Push/Pull), has a balance(blend) pot with no volume dip in center-position, and can safely run on 18v for power

On this particular model the treble pot acts as tone roll-off in passive mode.

Due to the high performance electronics, in flat center position of the EQ you hear no difference from active and passive mode. The preamp is extremely transparent. All Glockenklang preamps come pre-wired with high flexible cables. Pot shafts on single solid shafts is 6mm

This preamp is capable of being run at either 9v or 18v.

I Highly recommend this Glockenklang Preamp. It is exceptional on the High's and Low's.
Very Traditional with the Balance knob, meaning, it will give you the right sound when using the Bridge PU & Neck Pick PU.
The preamp sounds very Transparent and unique. If you play fingerstyle, if you do a lot of solos, this is the right preamp to own!
If you play slapping style, this preamp will blow you away.. the sound is very transparent and Clean!
I will just say that the builders need to work a little more on the Mid's.
Overall, I would rate this preamp in a scale of 1-10 , I would be pleased and satisfied to give it a 10!

Pots use small holes

I never used this preamp. I attempted to install it in two basses (one Korean-factory built, one American boutique built) but the pots were too small for the holes that were already drilled into these basses. For the Korean-built bass I found that the shafts were too short too.

I'm bummed I never got to hear how it sounded.
